A new song recorded by local musicians aims to spread a message of peace and healing, following the recent xenophobic violence that has spread through South Africa.
The song, entitled Not in My Lifetime, is a call to today's generation to not let our time go down in history as an era of tragedy. The song urges young people to take a stand and ensure that the legacy they leave will be a unified one.
"Musicians have the power to touch lives and change attitudes," says Siyabonga Metana of Skwatta Kamp. "Their music transcends borders and unites people."
The campaign is being coordinated by Metana and YFM's Lee Kasumba.
