The Final Draw draws nearer ...
On November 22 2009, there will be just 200 days until the 2010 FIFA World Cup kicks off: the biggest sporting event ever to hit the African continent.  And on the 4 December, the FIFA World Cup Final Draw takes place in Cape Town ...

Here's where all the groupings, game order and venues for the world's top 32 soccer teams will be laid out.

Football LiveThis 90-minute event takes places at the Cape Town International Convention Centre and some 8 000 people are expected to attend.

According to the City of Cape Town, FIFA executives, celebrities, members of the international media and representatives of each of the 32 qualifying teams will be there. Guests will be entertained by some of South Africa's best-known musical talents: the Soweto Gospel Choir and Johnny Clegg (le Zulu Blanc).

It's also going to be broadcast in 200 countries to some 700-million viewers.  That's huge - by anyone's standards.  And you can be sure Cape Town's unique beauty and the new Cape Town Stadium (Green Point) will be the focus.

For soccer fans, it will be a busy day.  Many are expected to gather on Long Street to hear the final draw results.  And you can be sure there'll be a huge party to follow in true Long Street tradition.

Sepp Blatter, FIFA President, will also announce the 2010 Fan Fest venues. These public-viewing sites can accommodate thousands so those without tickets can watch the game on big screen TVs and enjoy the almost 'carnival atmosphere' - as proved so popular with the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany.

Cape Town is planning a week-long celebration around The Final Draw - other events include switching on Adderley Street's festive lights (29 Nov) and the opening of the Football for Hope Centre in Khayelitsha (5 Dec).
