Management Couple needed for Botswana Bush Lodge 2 Years, 1 Month ago Karma: 2
Mankwe Bush lodge – www.mankwe.com – is looking for a management couple. The lodge is 92km north of Maun and borders the Moremi and Chobe Nation Parks, within its own concession of 350 000 hectares.

The applicants must be a couple and be willing to sign a minimum 2-year contract, renewable. The lodge will arrange all the necessary residence and work permits and any other legal requirements.

Accommodation is provided in a double-storey wooden tented-house, with 3 rooms, bathroom, kitchen and lounge. Yes, it's isolated. Yes, there's NO fencing. Yes, it's in deep bush about 800m from the main lodge. Successful applicants will also have the use of a camp 4x4 vehicle.

Children may accompany parents, but parents will be responsible for all their schooling and risks.

Please understand that you will be based in a true wilderness area, away from 'civilisation'. Time off is generally one month off for every three months worked - but this can vary according to bookings.

Experience is an advantage but all training will be provided.

Interested? Please send a detailed CV to Dave at mailto:oksafaris@iafrica.com which will be sent through to the group GM in Maun for evaluation. Applicants who are invited for interviews will need to get to Maun under their own steam and be prepared to stay overnight at the camp to get a feel for the place.

Dear Sirs,

We are a couple from Austria looking for a new challende. Some years ago we decided to leave for Cape Town. Eventhough it is very nice to live there the prospects for further carreer developement are limited. We also always dreamed about managing a remote resort. As we are matured and experienced we think that we are ideal candidates for such a position.

My wife has been working in the hospitality industry for many years. Presently she is managing a 4-star guesthouse in Cape Town. Since her appointment she was able to double the turnover and created a lot of repeaters as well as corporate business, which is not very common in such establishments. (E.g. SAP-Germany). She lives hospitality and is very experienced in all aspects. As she was running her own restaurant, cooking is a passion of her. Her excellent eye for detail makes sure that besides housekeeping all facilities are well presented and in a perfect condition. Very good F&B knowledge is obvious. She is a hands on person and always very popular with guests and staff.

Currently she is also preparing the bookkeeping and is responsible for all marketing activities.

Myself was educated at the Vienna Hotel School. After the school i started my carreer in the travel industry. Due tot he fact that i had to travel a lot, i easily can adopt to local conditions and culture. My strenghts are managment, leadership of employees and training. Sales & Marketing, calculation, creation of brochures and contracting had been my major duties. I am also able to supervise maintanance and can also do it myself on quite a high level. But at the end my common sense and my excellent education qualifies me for a position like this.

Both of us are loyal, honest and hard working, simply people you can trust.

We hope to here from you soon and remain

Sincerely Yours,
Alexander Goettlicher
