Josie RavenWing is an internationally known author, healer and workshop facilitator, who has trained with healers, shamans and spiritual teachers from many world traditions.
In this weekend together, she will bring aspects of her training that especially pertain to women and their spiritual development, personal empowerment and well-being.
Included in our time together will be teachings to help us connect more profoundly with the energies and wisdom of Nature, including how to gather some of the energies for our own health and vitality. We will also be guided through healing ceremonies, including a powerful "cord-cutting" process that helps free us from old stagnant energies from our past - past relationships in particular. We will pay special attention to our dreams during the weekend, as well as to more clearly defining our "dreams" for the future.
Josie will also guide us through ceremonial chants and dances that empower us and bring in guides and energies from the non-physical realms. Josie will also facilitate a sweat lodge ceremony.
This weekend will be one of deep introspection and healing, renewal and rebirth, and most important, the celebration of the Self and the power of the feminine. Come with your heart as open as possible to the many gifts of Spirit that will be offered to you!
There is a good likelihood that Josie will have copies of her books and CDs for sale at the event, and possibly some Brazilian healing crystals. Cash only, please.
Josie's background:
Josie RavenWing, MA, MFCC, has made the study of multi-cultural healing systems and spiritual paths her life's work. An internationally known workshop presenter and author (The Book of Miracles: The Healing Work of Joao de Deus, The Return of Spirit: A Woman's Call to Spiritual Action and A Season of Eagles), Josie began working 30 years ago as a pioneer in dance therapy and later as a psychotherapist with an eclectic and holistic approach. She spearheaded the holistic healing movement in Seattle in the early 1970s and co-created the first Masters level degree program in holistic healing in the U.S. at Antioch University in 1976.
In addition to her academic background, she has studied shamanic and other spiritual paths since the late '60s and has participated in a variety of ceremonies and spiritual initiations over the years. She has also studied and practiced various energy-based healing and transformational methodologies like reiki, polarity therapy, and is a certified practitioner in Matrix Energetics.
Josie has had a strong and supportive interest in women's spirituality, and the first workshops she offered - and some that she continues to offer- are in this area. She has been teaching workshops in the fields of healing and spirituality since 1984 throughout the US and abroad, combining her background in psychology and her own inner guidance with knowledge and training from many world traditions. In addition to her workshops she offers powerful individual healing work and spiritual training upon request.
Josie is also a poet (see one of her poems - "Song for the Journey" -in Michael Harner's classic book on shamanism, The Way of the Shaman), a songwriter (three recorded music tapes) and ceremonial leader. She has been widely interviewed by the media and has written numerous articles for various spiritual publications.
In her workshops and her books, RavenWing tends to focus on solutions rather than problems. "Energy follows our attention and intention," she says, "and we can choose to direct our energy in ways that leave us endlessly recycling our problems or in ways that facilitate harmony and healing."
Called a "practical visionary" by well-known author and speaker Joan Borysenko, Josie RavenWing offers a grounded spirituality that appeals to people of diverse backgrounds because of its applicability to contemporary life and needs.
Josie divides her time primarily between the U.S. and Brazil. Since 1998, she has been working with - and taking groups for healing to - world reknown Brazilian healer Joao de Deus /John of God, and has written a book, "The Book of Miracles: The Healing Work of Joao de Deus" on the miraculous experiences she and others have had as a result of Joao's work. www.healingjourneys.net
Please note that Josie will be available for private healing sessions at good vibrations sanctuary in Rivonia from 10th - 14th March
