This year's theme for the popular Cape Town Pride pageant is Love Our Diversity.
And 2011's event will see something for everyone - from bookworms to serious clubbers to the curious about gender issues.
Planned events include a film premier, The Pride Pageant (Mr and Miss Gay Pride will be crowned), a Pink Ball, a Red Party which brings together 17 clubs in and around Cape Town, a day at Mzolis and of course the pride of Cape Pride - the annual Parade through the streets of Cape Town and the grand finale - the Parade Party - where you can celebrate the diversity and community of the most amazing city in the world ... Cape Town!
Profits from Pride will be donated to its principle beneficiary - the Pride Shelter Trust, which was established in 2009 to provide a safe space for LGBTI people in need of support and shelter during times of adversity.
Pride 2011 is promising be the best Cape Town Pride yet! Play your part and support Africa's biggest and best Pride Festival.
