The biggest and most famous kite festival on the African continent, this event draws more than 20 000 visitors from all over the world - including everyone who's anyone in the kite-making, kite-flying, kite-spectating business.
It's a fun day out for the whole family - with loads of food stalls, kiddies' entertainment programmes, crafts and live music.
It's also the major fund-raiser for Cape Mental Health to continue its good work in disadvantaged communities: “More and more people are suffering from stress and mental ill-health,” said Ingrid Daniels, Director. “By inviting people to fly their kites, and highlighting the connection between mental and physical well-being, we hope to uplift minds and bodies.”
All profits go directly to Cape Mental Health. So why not spend a great day outdoors with loads of colourful kites - and support this really good cause?
All profits go directly to Cape Mental Health to support its mental health services for people in disadvantaged communities. For more info visit Cape Mental Health online or join their Facebook Group
