Soweto Wine Festival 2010
2010 will see the 6th annual Soweto Wine Festival - already making itself known as the most successful lifestyle event held in Soweto - dubbed by some as Mzansi’s trendiest wine festival.

This years show has been extended - both in time (3 nights instead of 2) and premises.  It's an ideal opportunity to learn more about wines, food pairings, careers and entreprenurial opportunities that this home-grown beverage has to offer.

Marilyn Cooper, Cape Wine Master, joint founding member of the Soweto Wine Festival and MD of the Cape Wine Academy (the organisers of the festival) says, “In our 6th year, we have extended the festival to 3 evenings and will include a large marquee to allow for the enormous growth this festival is experiencing. It is the most exciting wine festival in South Africa.”

Soweto Wine Festival In 2010, visitors will be treated to the ultimate tasting experience with the opportunity to sample over 800 of South Africa’s best known wines from 100 wine producers including some of South Africa’s most reputable, award-winning labels and our most successful empowerment brands.

More than 6500 visitors are expected to be at the 2010 festival to delight in tasting a wide range of styles and cultivars, whilst interacting with lifestyle brands, having a meal in the food court, or taking a wine class from wine experts and renowned chefs.

Some new changes to look forward to in the 2010 Soweto Wine Festival:

1. The festival has been extended to THREE nights
2. The launch of the inaugural Platinum Arena, which will feature premium wines, travel lounges and business & career exhibitors - with info on courses and institutions that can help you boost or start your career in wine or in the service and hospitality industry as well as a wine business model for those interested in running a franchised wine festival or opening a wine retail store.
