Cape Town International Book Fair: 2010
This year sees the 5th annual Cape Town Book Fair (CTBF) where visitors to the show can look forward to a smorgasbord of literary treats.

Professor Wole Soyinka will be there to talk about about his memoir "You Must Set Forth at Dawn" published by Ayebia. He'll be chatting to his publisher, Nana Ayebia Clarke, on Sat 31 July at 10h00.

The fair's director, Claudia Kaiser, said, "We are very proud that Professor Soyinka will be here. This year's fair is positioning itself as an African affair and we have publishers from 12 countries attending the fair -thanks to a programme being run by the Goethe-Institut."

International bestselling author Jodi Picoult will be attending to launch her new novel "House Rules"(Sunday 1 August at 14h00). She has delighted millions of readers with her books and is a captivating speaker.

The Fifa World Cup 2010 gave South Africans a sense of optimism and pride, but how do we respond to complex social and political issues? Join Ingo Schulze and Fred Kumalo on Writing after Apartheid and the Berlin Wall, this talk is presented by the Goethe-Institut on Sunday 1 August at 2pm and will be chaired by author and former political editor Zubeida Jaffer.Cape Town Book Fair
