A festival of classical music at Tumbledowns, Kwazulu-NatalThe much anticipated music performances in the lower garden amphitheatre at No 35 get under way with talented young songwriter/singer/ guitarist Rowan Stewart.  Joined by a three-piece band Rowan entertains with a selection of his highly original material and a set of blues and ‘covers’ thrown in.  Opening for Rowan is equally young and talented and ‘one to watch’, Shannon Hope on vocals and piano.

Bring your own chairs, rugs, picnic lunch & wines.  [approx 120 mins]

For this very special occasion, and the final concert of the week, Music Revival presents leading South African soprano Bronwen Forbay and Federico Freschi in a popular selection. Bronwen and Federico, who recently wowed local audiences at the Concert in the Park with the KZNPO, are much in demand on stages around South Africa. Christopher Duigan at the grand piano accompanies.  Their programme of popular arias includes duets and extended scenes from Mozart’s Don Giovanni, Don Pasquale and a breathtaking set from Act II of Verdi’s La Traviata.  With the success of the recent music lunch events at Tumble Downs being  the ‘talk of the town’, enjoy a winter excursion to this popular venue for another programme of music and a delicious lunch – a perfect way to while away a winter afternoon.  From the comfort of your table take in the  picturesque views of the surrounds and Karkloof Valley, a perfect acoustic and a stage with  great  viewing of the performance; all this and an amazing meal.
