Now in its 7th year, the Wacky Wine Weekend is a great winter-time treat. Because it's time to pack up and head for the cosy hospitality of wine-farming country - and one of the friendliest wine valleys in the Cape - the Robertson Valley: which includes Bonnievale, Ashton, Montagu and McGregor.
What's it all about? Good food, fine wines, country markets and real wine-valley hospitality.
All you need to do is purchase your WWW passport (R70 per person) at your first stop - and you'll get all the equipment you need for a fine country weekend: your own tasting glass, a goodie-bag, a festival programme and a bottle of water. From there you can roam the valley and enjoy some of the nicest wines the country has to offer.
But be warned - there's a zero tolerance for drinking and driving. Designated drivers are well taken care of with free coffees and meals and if you're in a a group of 8 or more, hire a Buddy Bus.
There are a host of packages available for the weekend - from accommodation to fly-ins to bus-ins - please visit the Wacky Wine Weekend site for the festival programme and full details.
What better way to stock up on wonderful wines for winter?
