 Now in its 11th year, this year's fest organisers are thrilled to announce that two living jazz legends will be headlining: the renowned guitarist/vocalist George Benson and fellow US saxophonist Charles Lloyd.
For anyone with half a musical note in their heads and a whole lot of music in their hearts, don't miss this festival that promises some of the best jazz musos to hit Cape Town stages - 2 nights - 40 African and International Stars!
The McCoy Tyner Trio with guest performer, saxophonist Gary Bartz; violinist Regina Carter; the high register-hitting vocalist Rachelle Ferrell; the older statesman of jazz Toots Thielemans and home-grown Jonathan Butler who brings with him US trumpeter Rick Braun and saxophonist Richard Elliot.
Other names to watch out for include the Ronny Jordan Organ Trio, Gauteng Jazz Orchestra, Hanjin, Paulo Flores and Delft Youth Big Band.
Ticket prices for the 2010 festival are: R330 for single day pass and a two-day weekend pass is R485. As in previous years, there will be an extra fee of R25 per act for patrons wishing to attend concerts on the Rosies stage. Tickets are available at Computicket and Shoprite-Checkers stores.
