Cape Town: The J&B Met

One of the most famous horse races on the southern tip of Africa, the J&B Met combines the thrill & excitement of the pounding hooves of top thoroughbreds with a fashionable spectacle of everyone who's who in the rich and famous and fashionista set.

This year's theme is "In Full Colour" and the fashion highlight is definitely the J&B Most Elegant Couple competition. As a social function the J&B Met rocks - attracting crowds of over 50 000. It's a gathering of majestic thoroughbreds and J&B Met Fashion 2009

beautiful people who make this a very special occasion.

The main race featuring top racing 3-year olds has a R2 500 000 purse.
