Looking for a novel way to see in 2010? Then come on, board this train ...
The train leaves from Maraisburg Station, just 2 km off the N1 highway. (Safe, guarded parking is provided) at 16h00.
It's got several sleeper coaches (your accommodation for the night), an open plan lounge car, a kitchen car and a fully-licensed bar car.
The train should arrive in Magaliesburg around 18H00. The dinner/dance will take place in a large, covered shed on the southern side of the station. There'll be a fully licenced, cash bar and loos are available.
Dinner will be a sumptuous DIY traditional braai/BBQ (braai packs included in ticket price) with all the trimmings. Music is also seriously South African with lang arm, sokkie, boere musiek and country the flavour. Spot prizes will be given for some of the best dancers so put your best foot forward.
Kango (the dining car) will serve a huge 'babbelas' (hangover) breakfast the next morning before the train departs at 10h00 to return you safely to Maraisburg by around 12h00.
