Envirochild is hosting the 3rd Hout Bay Green Faire which showcases green products & healthier living. There's a full programme including talks, films & demonstrations. These are geared to help raise awareness about moving towards more sustainable living.

It's a fun day for the whole family with special kiddie entertainment with puppet shows, wholesome foods, interesting stalls and many healthy & eco-friendly products, services & demos on offer.
Some of the demos will be about alternative energy eg solar, wind, pedal power. Others include composing/dry toilets and renewable energy sources.
Alternative building methods like cob and earthbag will be on display and also methods of saving energy in the home.
Other useful demos include how start a home/community veggie garden, the 3 Rs (reducing, reusing & recyling), worm farms, making compost and creating arts & crafts from waste.
Water-wise tips & water-saving devices will be available as well as advice on raintanks - where to buy them and how to install them.
Other stalls include a range of fresh and organic foods and the holistic healing area will offer a range of alternative therapies and health products.
The day will be rounded off by popular local musicians followed with a spectacular fire show and dancing.
