What happens when you take one lazy river, 3 stages, 4 days, more than 30 hot music acts and 2000 revellers who share a passion for the best of South African Music?
 Up the Creek happens on the banks of the Breede River, just outside Swellendam in the heart of the Cape Overberg. Once a year, it's transformed into a crazy 1 river, 3 stages, 4 days, more than 30 live music and comedy acts and 2000 festival goers.
In typical Up the Creek tradition they run the main stage, the river stage and the all-night-long Breede River bar stage throughout the four days. You can romp in the river during the day and then move up to main stage as the day progresses. Only one stage will be running at a time, so you won’t miss out on any of the acts.
In 2010, there will be more of what worked for 2009 and more: More food vendors, coffee maestros that can deliver your caffeine to your tent-step, more stalls and more bars throughout the festival. The Kreef Hotel is back again for the old rockers who prefer a little more comfort.
It's family fun and kids will catered for with a jumping castle, supervised and kiddie-friendly activities at the designated kids area.
