This is the oldest harvest festival in South Africa (42 this year!) and if you've ever had a thing for cherries, this is the place to be.
 The whole area comes alive for over a week to celebrate all the fun and hospitality the area is famous for (apart from cherries and asparagus, of course).
A jazz fest at Meulspruit Dam kicks off the festivities on Sat 14 November at 10h00. Then it's a smorgasbord of potjiekos competitions, boeresport (farmers' games), bowls, golf, tours, cherry-pip spitting competitions, soccer and rugby workshops, beer halls, hot local music talent.
And then of course there are cherries, cherries, cherries - in shapes, forms and recipes you've only ever dreamt of.
