Balkanology comes to roost in Jo'burg
A whole new zany experience is about to hit Joburg - it's called Balkanology ... and it's contagious.
 It was started in Cape Town by a crazy bunch of people who got together to throw hectic parties where DJs and musicians perform an electrifying fusion of Gypsy, Serbian, Macedonian, Bulgarian and Romanian music with house, electronica, hip-hop and dub.
It’s the biggest Balkan party in South Africa. Ahem. It’s the ONLY Balkan party in South Africa.
Since it's launch, Balkanology has created a cult following. It's one-of-a-kind experience for zest, energy and theatrical music.
This will be the best and biggest Johannesburg Balkan bash ever. Expect DJs, pigs, trumpets, pigs playing trumpets, farmers and farmers riding on the back of pigs playing trumpets. There will, naturally, be bales of hay to steal for a gypsy bed. And all of this under the olive trees of 44 Stanley.
