MUSIC FOR A SUMMER SEASON
: CLASSICAL PIANO
Christopher Duigan plays a selection of classical piano works to open the new Summer Season of Concerts. Included are Beethoven's Sonata in E flat op 27 no 1, companion to the more famous Moonlight sonata, Debussy's Arabesque No 1 and La Plus que lente, a e beguiling café waltz, Chopin’s popular Waltz in E-flat and Liszt's "Les Jeux d'Eaux à la Villa d'Este" (The Fountains of the Villa d'Este).
This programme, full of popular appeal and easy going charm, is to be presented later this month at The Franschhoek La Motte Classic Music Festival of which Christopher Duigan is the Musical Director.
