This is the 13th year for the 94.7 Cycle Challenge with a record entry of almost 30 000 cyclists - including top cyclists from South Africa and abroad - expected to participate in 2009 in Joburg's biggest cycling event.
This year, Momentum has joined forces and the good news is that there are bigger and better prizes and recognition up for grabs for this year's top cyclists - R275 000 cash prizes and gold coins worth over R80 000 sponspored by SA Gold Coin Exchange.
A new feature this year is the introduction of winners' jerseys - the winner of the men’s and women’s races get yellow jerseys, while polka dot jerseys will go to the King and Queen of the mountains, sprinters will be awarded green jerseys and best young U23 riders will receive white jerseys.

Children's Cycle Challenge: 7 November 2009
Enter before 16 October and you could win one of two Hotrock bicycles and helmets, courtesy of Specialized.
Cycle Challenge Expo:
Entrants must collect their Race Pack and Goody Bag at Registration at the Momentum 94.7 Cycle Challenge Expo which takes place at Sandton Convention Centre.
