Get your friends and family and head for Robertson this October and enjoy a wonderful open-air weekend on the banks of the picturesque Breede River. You'll also get to taste over 300 wines from over 40 of the areas top wineries.
Then, of course, there's live music and laid-back acoustic sounds while you soak up the scenery and enjoy all the gracious, wine country hospitality that the Robertson Valley is famous for ...
The event takes place in huge marquees at the riverside farm Goudmyn, on the R317 between
Robertson and Bonnievale in the shade of stately poplar trees. You'll be able to park on site as well as at neighbouring Spes Bona farm (a shuttle will be available).
While you enjoy tasting the finest wines, there'll also be a host of delicious gastronomic delights to choose from to enjoy on the banks of the
river. Then browse through the country food stalls (local olives, cheese, olive
oils), visit the Robertson Farmers’ Market and even enjoy a
French-Style Steak lunch and much more.
Tutored tasting of
different styles of Chardonnay from the valley will definately be something to
look out for this year.
Children
under the age of 18 will enter FREE of charge and a selection of
activities will be available on Saturday and Sunday on a pay-as-you-go basis.
Scenic boat trips will depart from Goudmyn and are available at a cost
of R 15pp. All funds raised will go the local Hospice.
All wine is being sold at cellar-door prices, so use this opportunity to stock up your cellars for the summer - and what better way to do this than in the company of good friends, great music and fine country sunshine?
