Do It Day is a yearly volunteering initiative started by GreaterGood South Africa.  On this day, thousands of South Africans share their time, skills and energy with good causes right throughout the country. 

This year, GreaterGood SA is trying to beat all previous records and get a  ‘Team South Africa’ together by recruiting a record 20,000 volunteers to work on 2,000 projects. 

Do It Day gives you the chance to give back to your local community - whether it's your time, your skills and ideas or your financial support.

• Contribute to the greater good of our nation

There are currently about 1,800 causes registered with GreaterGood SA  - which are 'begging' for your involvement: painting shelters, making sandwiches, clearing alien vegetation, helping at animal shelters.

So come on!  Have a heart and get involved.  You'll feel a lot better about life, the universe and everything, AND that's what UBUNTU and building a new South Africa is all about.
