This is the 16th year of the highly successful South African Gay & Lesbian
Film Festival. This year's theme is love & kisses all the way!

There are a few new surprises this year - with many guest filmmakers – both international and
South African, as well as a number of World Premières of
South African films.
Besides attending Q&As after screenings, each of our
international guests will be conducting Master Classes at a number of
tertiary institutions. Check out the website for updates.
An added treat in store for viewers is that Pieter-Dirk Uys will be opening the Film Festival, an honour that he will bestow on both Jozi and
Cape Town audiences.
Thanks to serious funding, this festival can be shown again this
year - but as always, they're relying heavily on the support of the
community to help this festival survive. The global
recession hits funders as hard as individuals, and it is as difficult
as ever to persuade those with money that gay and lesbian issues are,
well, still an issue.
Hosters are requesting all interested parties to please join their 8333 club, help the
Festival survive – you’ll find the details on the website (see below) Visit Out in Africa Gay & Lesbian Film Festival website now for more details and the full schedule.
