South Africa's annual wild flower spectacle - where the semi-desert countryside explodes into a myriad of colours - is world-renown.
The town of Clanwilliam is the gateway to this fine floral region and every year it hosts the Wild Flower Show to celebrate Mother Nature in full-blown fancy dress! It's like Bushveld Bling!
This year's theme is bushfires and their devastating impact on this ecologically-sensitive region. Many of these flowers are exclusive to this area.
The official opening takes
place on 27 August at 18h00 and the public are welcome.
And for those not awed by nature, there's a variety of entertainment on offer - like music performances, art competitions for kids,
hiking trails and trips. Enjoy with the whole family.
