Johannesburg, Zoo: Mother's Day Concert at the Zoo
Sunday, 10 May 2009, 09:00 - 15:00 Hits : 240
It's that time of year again to spoil Mom and there is definitely no better way than taking her  to the 702 Mother's Day Concert at the Zoo.
Pack the champers and chockies and a really comfy chair for her and get there early for a good spot. Picnic blanket and pillow are not amiss for her " bugger off this is my snooze time" moment.
Enjoy a peaceful picnic while listening to the soothing sounds of the Johannesburg Festival Orchestra, conducted by Richard Cock.

Mother’s day is one on which all moms deserved to be spoilt, entertained and generally indulged by family, in suitable surroundings.

Now a firm established family favourite, crowds gather at the Johannesburg Zoo, picnic in the sun, and enjoy popular classics performed by the Johannesburg Festival Orchestra.

Our soloists this year are Sam Peo and Craig Urbani.

Kids are also catered for through numerous kiddies’ activities, aside from the zoo itself!

* Please remember to bring clothes, blankets and
non-perishable food as a collection for charity

Ticket prices are R25 for kids 12 and under and from 13 years upwards the price is R38. Kids under three enter for free. Proceeds go to the Johannesburg Zoo.

Parking: Safe and secure parking will be available at the SA National Museum of Military History through the Erlswold Way entrance and Zoo Lake.

Parking on Upper Park Drive will be open ONLY to VIPs with accreditation and the disabled, but pedestrians will be allowed access into the Zoo from this entrance.

Please note: No braais, glasses, bottles, bicycles, scooters, skateboards or domestic animals allowed.
