So here's the deal. The theme is CONNECT COUTURE. As always, nothing but your A-game         will do so be sure to call in the heavies, ie Hip Hop and Carducci. Mix these with         our dress code of PLUMS, PATTERNS AND METALLICS, add some of your patented individualism         and very own fashion secrets and voila, you're ready for the J&B™ Met!              Entrance Ticket Price         
         General Entrance tickets cost R125 each. The General Entrance ticket gives you access         to Kenilworth Racecourse only and not to any of the reserved areas in the buildings         or the marquee village.     
              Unfortunately, there will be no pass-out tickets.
              Included in the R125 ticket price is a R10.00 betting voucher and a J&B™         Met Race card. A contribution from each ticket sold will be going towards funding         the Kenilworth Conservation Area in the middle of the racecourse. This pristine         tract of Cape Fynbos is soon to be declared a National Conservation Area due to         its conservation significance which includes a number of protected species of both         fauna and flora. Your contribution to the long-term protection and survival of these         species is greatly appreciated.     
              Tickets will be on sale from FRIDAY 18 JANUARY 2008 – when you         buy your ticket, you will get your race card which is jam-packed with useful information         about betting as well as J&B™ Met Day activities.               After Party         
         A stomping, rip roaring party follows a day of awesome horseracing, fashion and         fun. 5FM and Gold Circle will be hosting the 5FM J&B™ Met Afterparty at         Kenilworth racecourse. Keep an eye on the web and listen to 5FM for ticket prices         and further details.     
              Television Schedule         
         The J&B™ Met and lead-up will be televised on SABC 3 from 15:00 to 16:30.     

              To impress the ladies, English soldiers in the Cape invited them to come and watch         as they raced their horses.
              Roughly 200 years later, the J&B™ Met has grown into the biggest annual         outdoor social event in South Africa with around 50 000 spectators packed into the         Kenilworth Racecourse. And funnily enough, it’s still mostly about the ladies!
              J&B™ started sponsoring the event in 1977 with a stake of R40 000 and         31 years later, that amount has grown to a staggering R2 000 000.
