Special performance by The Drakensberg Boys Choir!

This world-renowned choir is visiting Cape Town and will perform at Backsberg Estate, amidst huge wooden wine vats in the historical Vat Cellar. The evening will include a two-part programme, with delicious Mediterranean platters served afterwards. The first half consists of classical works such as Bach and Palestrina and gradually gains a faster tempo with songs such as Tequila Samba and Queen's We Will Rock You. The second half of the programme is made up of a collage of South African Folk music. There's something for everyone and the boys have been practising for months for their Cape Town tour.

Backsberg wines will be available for purchase as well.

The Drakensberg Boys Choir

The Drakensberg Boys Choir is situated in the Champagne Valley of the Central Drakensberg Mountains. In its 41-year history, the school has grown considerably in both its student body and facilities. The choir have impressed audiences nationally and internationally, developing a world-famous reputation as one of the finest choral groups. Currently under Johann van der Sandt as Musical Director, they're continuing to impress audiences wherever they perform.
