SPAR, Jacaranda 94.2 & Absa are getting together to support Carols by Candlelight in aid of NOAH (Nurturing Orphans of AIDS for Humanity) and the Witkoppen Health and Welfare Centre, caring for over 73 205 patients who do not have access to medical care.
The Pretoria line-up includes Kurt Darren, Eden, and the Soweto Gospel Choir; while Jozi gets Loyiso, Kurt Darren, Craig Hinds, the Absa Choir and the Soweto Gospel Choir.
“The theme ‘Toy Story’ means that along with Absa and SPAR, Jacaranda 94.2 will commit ourselves to looking after the two nominated charities through either helping them develop and sustain a vegetable garden, build a jungle gym, paint their classrooms and so on. ‘ Toy Story’ means helping the underprivileged remember that once the festive season is gone, the more privileged carry on remembering their plight.”
Song sheets and battery operated candles will be for sale at both events at R30 for both items, with all proceeds going to the nominated charities.
