Jozi's biggest annual consumer exhibition and entertainment event opens its doors for the 113th year running. 

 The famous Rand Easter Show has become one of the biggest events in South Africa, attracting around 500 000 visitors every year.

 Ryan Downing, General Manager of Consumer Exhibitions said people were attracted to the show year after year because "it has constantly re-invented itself for more than a century and creates a truly memorable experience that will set the trend for years to come." 

 Mr Downing said visitor safety was a priority for organisers. 

 "The on-going support that we receive from our security and safety forces, such as the South African Police Service, Johannesburg Metro Police and Emergency Management Services and private security, maintains the Rand Show's reputation of being an event which is safe to explore and enjoy." 

 Tickets are R55 each for adults and R25 each for children under the age of 12. 

 Entrance is free for senior citizens over the age of 60, who present a valid identity document, and for children under the age of two. Parking is R15 a car.
