Rasta reggae legend, Eddy Grant, will be performing his magical music for the first time ever on South African soil ... Eddy Grant at Madiba's 90th birthday concert in London Eddy's music ranges from Caribbean Calypso, African rhythms, rock and roll, reggae and soul ... and some of his hits include "Baby Come Back", "Electric Avenue", "I Don't Wanna Dance" and the ever-popular "Gimme Hope Jo'anna".
Written in 1988, "Gimme Hope Joanna" was one of Grant's songs that contained strong political sentiment and it became an anti-apartheid anthem in South Africa despite being banned on state airwaves by Nationalist government.
