About
This stately and spacious house offers plenty of space and overlooks
the greater part of Grahamstown, Rhodes University and The 1820
Settler's Monument.
It's situated in an upmarket, tranquil area between Kingswood College and Graeme College. Just 2kms from the town centre, The White House is close enough to all the attractions and festivals of the town, yet far enough removed from its noise and traffic. Usually, the only sounds you'll wake up to are the early morning symphonies of the abundant birdlife, greeting the day.

For peace and quiet, rather visit over December/January when three-quarters of its population (students) is away fortheir Christmas
holidays.

Things to Do and See
Grahamstown is the City of Saints, Scholars and Sinners. It's also a festival capital - the biggest of which is the annual National Arts Festival in early July. There's something for everyone - malaria-free game parks, Observatory Museum with its camera obscura (one of only two in the world), visit one of the many churches (at least 52 including, school chapels, tabernacles and township sects), hiking, skydiving, Shakespeare Society, International Library of African Music, quaint Bathurst with its huge pineapple and so much more ... |
