The Matoppo Inn Boutique Hotel is housed in a beautifully-restored drostdy building dating back to 1834. It is situated a block away from the main road, within sprawling lush gardens which give it that distinct 'oasis' air of peacefulness and tranquility.

Each room is uniquely and stylishly decorated with antique furniture and has air-conditioning, satellite TV and a bar fridge.

Family rooms have fold-out couches for extra sleeping accommodation.

The Antique Rooms have 4-poster beds, a fire-place, an oval bath and a shower.

Directions: Coming in from Johannesburg side, stay on the main road, go past Hill St. and turn left into the next road, Meintjies St. Matoppo Inn is ahead of you in Bird Street.

From the south (Cape Town side), stay on the main road until the first traffic lights, turn right into Voortrekker St and first left into Bird St. Carry on up Bird until you see the Matoppo on your right.
