About

Langsberg Guest Farm lies about 20 km south of Kimberley, just off the N12.  The farm has a rich and colourful history (that the current owners can trace back to the 1870s).  Over the years, it has farmed ostriches, Clydesdale horses and Bonsmara cattle.  Today it's home to some 26 species of game and there are birds aplenty.  It's become an important breeding centre for rare and endangered species such as buffalo, roan and sable antelope and these majestic animals are farmed here with compassion and responsibility.

You can see how this historical Cape Dutch farmhouse has been restored to its former glory with real love and attention to detail.  The old farm school house now acts as a cosy pub where guests like to gather for a pre-dinner drink.  The original Clydesdale stables have been cle verly converted into en-suite rooms.  The former 'kraal' for the livestock has been altered into spacious self-catering units.  Antique touches - all the mod cons.

The pace is slow.  The hospitality as warm and toasty as the roaring wood fire on a winter's evening.  The food is sublime and there's an impressive wine list.  The breakfasts are heary and Karoo style.   And there's endless space to explore, walk, hike and just be in ...

All rooms have air-conditioning, TV, fans, tea & coffee facilities, heaters and bar fridges.
