About

Take 4 passionate friends, with interests as varied as antique dealing, game ranging, marketing and property investing, with an abiding love of the good things in life, and Hawksmoor House is the result.  It's a Cape Dutch country retreat set on a 220- hectare wine farm, Matjieskuil, near Stellenbosch in the Cape Winelands. It's been meticulously restored and beautifully decorated with exquisite antiques, it enjoys a stunning location surrounded by vineyards overlooking Table Mountain ... with spectacular sunsets.

The estate is an easy 25 mins drive from bustling Cape Town, yet it's quiet and serene.  Besides guests, the farm is home to horses, cows, porcupines, hawks, pelicans and countless other wildlife. The resident German Pointers Cosmo, Max & little Alice keep a watchful eye on the daily workings of the farm.

At Hawksmoor, you'll find the friendly staff know when to stay discreetly in the background, and when to providing you with cheerful and helpful service.  The tone is relaxed, unspoilt and real.  A great place to unwind and recharge the batteries.

If you just happen to love dirt roads, sunsets, wine by candlelight, an owl outside your window, and don't mind sharing the pool with the occasional disoriented frog or getting a paw print of our overzealous dogs on your trousers, then Hawksmoor is waiting to welcome you ...
