About
Established in 2003, The Cape Flame is an award-winning, beachfront boutique guest house in
Summerstrand, Port Elizabeth. It been awarded 4 stars by the TGCSA.
A finalist
in the National AA Accommodation Awards competition for two consecutive
years (2007 & 2008), the lodge has also proudly represented Port Elizabeth. Respected for their tradition of quality and great service, this guest house was picked as a semi-finalist for the 2009 National AA Accommodation Awards.
The Cape Flame consists of 10 en-suite
bedrooms, each uniquely
decorated in a modern Africa theme which shows off the rich vibrancy of the continent. While six of the rooms are situated in the main
building, the other four rooms are located in the business retreat.
Bedrooms are equipped with a
TV, telephone, minibar, air-conditioning unit, thermostatic heating
panels, under floor heating and a ceiling fan. There is also a
complimentary tea and coffee service tray in the room.
TV channels include DStv satellite and MNet channels as well as national channels and an in-house movie channel. Room telephones have
direct access to local and international calls.

Directions
Directions: Follow the signs to the Boardwalk Casino and Entertainment Centre. Turn right into Marine Drive if facing the sea and the Avenues run off this road. The numbers increase as you drive away from the Casino.

functions, an air-conditioned breakfast and dining room, a Bar and Lounge
with TV and background music.
A sumptuous English breakfast with tea and coffee is complimented with an
open buffet fruit and cereal bar as well as Continental and Mediterranean
platters.

is fully licensed and serves light meals and local malts and wines.
The
stylish dining room can accommodate private functions for up to 25 in a
group seating. This room also serves as a
fully equipped
conference room,
able to comfortably seat
20 delegates in a "U" shape setting.

centre in the reception area, dedicated
to guests' use.
Services include internet access, printing, fax,
photocopy, scan and digital picture taking and e-mail services in the
business centre.

The meeting room is designed to accommodate
up to 20 delegates. The facility offers a
ceiling mounted 1600 ansi-lumen digital projector as
well as TV connection, VCR, Hi-Fi,
Auxiliary input and internet connection in the
conference room. A finger lunch, tea & coffee and soft drink service is
provided for breaks.

Best time to visit:
Summer, but it gets very busy. Out of season is definitely the time to savour this friendly place.
What to pack:
This place is one block from the beach so make sure the sunblock is in.
Great place to go sailing so think of a good windbreaker and dockies.
