The accommodation options at Ashanti Lodge Gardens feature everything from camping and dormitory style rooms to doubles/twins and singles with shared facilities as well as stylish rooms with private bathrooms. A twin room will have two single beds whereas a double room has just one double bed. The majority of the en-suite rooms (with private bathrooms) are in our Guest Houses around the corner in Union Street.

There's a groovy café bar where you can sip some tantalizing cocktails while listening to some soothing tunes, or lie back and relax on the wooden sundeck overlooking the pool and take in the outstanding views of Table Mountain.

Many a decadent night has been spent here partying with fellow travellers and friendly local staff. Watch the latest sports action on satellite television or, snack on an ice-cream-covered waffle or a quick pizza and try the local and regional beers. They also offer an excellent, ever-changing wine list offering you the best tastes of our wine producing region - available by the glass or bottle.

Directions

Directions: From the airport or Garden Route, continue on the N2 towards Cape Town city centre.

Approaching the city, continue on N2 for about 10 minutes. As you approach mountain keep right and continue towards the city - follow the signs. Take the De Waal Drive turn-off to the left when the road forks and continue driving around the mountain.

Just off De Waal Drive you need to take the Mill St turn-off. This will take you past a large shopping centre (Gardens Centre) on your left hand side and then you drive through two sets of traffic lights.

The next road left (after the second set of lights at Upper Orange Street) is Hof St. It is just before the Mount Nelson hotel, so if you see that you know you have gone too far. Ashanti is two blocks up on the left hand side – a large yellow building.

REMEMBER:
If you arrive at the airport or bus station between 8.30am and 4pm they offer a pick-up service (subject to availability). It is not a "meet-and-greet" service but all you have to do is call them on

when you arrive and they will send a driver to collect you.

If you are arriving outside of these hours, then let them know your flight details and they will arrange for the Backpacker Bus to collect you (costs vary).
