About
Amakoekoe is a bright, colourful and welcoming guest house in Honeydew, a north-western suburb of Johannesburg. The lodge has a four-star grading from the Tourism Grading Council and has been classified 'Superior' by the AA Quality Assured Programme, and it's not hard to see why.
It's situated on a sprawling, open property alongside Christian de Wet Drive so it's easily visible from the road. Once you arrive at the guest house, you'll be impressed by the lovely, well-maintained gardens and water features.
The house has an artistic African theme - the owner Sanet has done most of the many colourful artworks around the house and you can see her artistic touch throughout the house, down to the personalised ceramic room signs.
Each room is independantly decorated and there's a rich, luxurious feel to them - especially in the luxury and executive rooms. Rooms are spacious and are either on the first floor or ground level and each has access to an outside patio or seating area (private or shared). They are serviced daily.

Directions
Directions: If heading south on the N1 from Pretoria, Sandton or Airport then take the Beyers Naude Offramp and turn right into Beyers Naude. About 5 km's on you pass over Christiaan de Wet and turn left at the next turn into Blueberry St. Turn left after 300m into Apple. Follow the road to the colourful gate.
If heading north on the N1 from Bloemfontein or Johannesburg West then take the Beyers Naude Offramp and turn left into Beyers Naude. Continue as above.
