The Oasis Luxury Guesthouse
is deceptive. It's so close to the buzz of Rivonia Road, one of Sandton's busiest thoroughfares - yet it's peaceful and restful and safely tucked away in quiet suburbia. There are big trees, a chunky outdoor lapa with ridiculously comfortable, solid furniture where you can sit and work on your laptop, or just relax and enjoy ... Mmm. It's aptly named.
And Anita's personality shines through in the little touches, the tasteful furnishings and the total commitment to making her guests feel pampered. There's an old-world elegance - like gorgeous leather Chesterfields and stately sideboards - but there's every modern convenience and functionality: wireless broadband, tourist information, booking services and warm hospitality.
There are 12 luxurious rooms - each one totally different, individually decorated and with its own personality. And the emphasis is on comfort, comfort, comfort. Plush-topped mattresses, king-size pillows, 100% Percale cotton linen, triple-sheeting and
elegant bed throws. Everything you could wish for a blissful night's sleep. The
air-conditioned rooms have MNET/DSTV bouquet, tea & coffee facilities, stocked mini-bar
fridge, hairdryer, safe for valuables, dressing
gowns, complimentary slippers. The en-suite bathrooms are spacious with beautiful baths, glass-fronted showers and marble or glass vanities with scented candles. Original art decorates the the walls and rich Persians carpets are scattered throughout. Some of the rooms have access to a private outside patio.

Directions
Directions: From O R Tambo International Airport (and N1 Highway)
1. As you leave airport, keep on the far right hand side of the main exit carriageway
2. Follow the overhead sign marked R24 - Johannesburg
3. You will merge with the N12 highway, traveling west
4. Approaching the N12/N3 interchange, follow the overhead sign marked N3 (N1) Pretoria
5. Do not take the sign marked Johannesburg 5
6. You will now be travelling north along the N3 highway
7. Follow the highway for approximately 13.5km and then join the N1 East, heading towards Roodepoort
8. After joining the N1 East, take the first off-ramp to join Rivonia Road (M9 South)
9. Head South towards Rivonia and Sandton
10. At the third set of traffic lights (10th Avenue) turn right
11. Take the first right into Homestead Road
12. Cross over 11th Avenue and drive for approximately 200m
13. The Oasis Luxury Guesthouse is on your left - Number 29 Homestead Road
From N1 Roodepoort
1. Take the Rivonia Road off-ramp and turn right under the highway to join the M9 South
2. Head South towards Rivonia and Sandton
3. Follow directions 9 onwards above
From Sandton
* Follow Rivonia Road (M9) in a northerly direction towards Rivonia
* Turn left into 10th Avenue
* Follow directions 11 onwards above

Best time to visit:
Johannesburg is not as seasonal as other destinations - summers are hot and winter days are usually crisp and clear but nights can be cold. However, the lodge is fully air-conditioned to make you comfortable and cosy - whatever the weatherman throws at you.
What to pack:
A smart/casual outfit or two for dinners. Swimming gear a must for lazy summer days at the beach.
