About
A gracious country manor, Amber Rose exudes warmth, welcome and luxury. There's also a delightful emphasis on roses - from the names of the rooms and suites to the gorgeous gardens filled with lovely specimens. If you're lucky, you'll find them in full bloom and the heady scents are something to savour.
The finishes are luxurious, elegant and every last fitting and piece of furniture has been chosen with care and love - for pleasure rather than purpose ... beauty, rather than just plain function.
From the lovely sprawling gardens, you can enjoy the sense of wide open spaces and lovely views - on a clear day you can see Johannesburg city centre ... and Pretoria to the north. This sense of spaciousness follows you inside - the proportions are generous and roomy.
The lodge is situated on the slopes of Chartwell Hills, in horse country. It's a quiet, country retreat - perfect for corporate and leisure guests wanting to be away from the bustle of the city, yet close enough to get there when the need arises. Amber Rose is just minutes from Broadacres Shopping Centre (one of my personal favourite shopping centres - Alison), 20 minutes from Sandton City, 35 minutes from Oliver Tambo International Airport and
10 minutes from Lanseria International Airport.
Week days, you'll find mostly corporate types. Over weekends, you'll find out-of-towners who've come for shows, special occasions and honeymooners or just those looking to escape the city for a couple of days without trekking too far.

THE
JOHANNESBURG GOLD SUITE:
Double cupboards, north and east facing windows, a king-size extra
length bed, en-suite bathroom, with bath, shower and double basins. A serene, spacious room.
THE COLORAMA SUITE
The bathroom has a shower and romantic slipper bath and is open
to the bedroom, adding a touch of by-gone nostalgia from the old mining days of Johannesburg. There are double cupboards and a solid mahogany writing
/dressing table.
THE MEMOIRE SUITE
Enjoy the real country experience over-looking the Chartwell hills from the garden patio. A lovely touch is the private, outside shower as well as an en-suite bathroom, with a corner bath.

AMBASSADOR SUITE
The gold and cinnamon
colourings, double cupboards, extra-length king-size bed, spacious 2-person shower and bath en-suite make you feel spoiled and pampered.
THE PASCALI and CASANOVA SUITES
Furnished with copper and silver undertones, with en-suite bath and
walk-in shower, these suites are ideal for families as the 2 rooms
can adjoin without affecting each ones privacy. King extra-length beds
or single beds are offered. Under-carpet heating and air-conditioning ensure your comfort.

THE HARMONY, the EGOLI and PEACE SUITES
These three warm, north-facing
rooms are furnished in autumn shades. Each has its own bathroom with
en-suite shower. The Peace suite has a queen bed; the Harmony suite
has a king or two single beds.
The West Wing Self Catering Apartment
The
newly-finished, luxuriously furnished, self-catering apartment has 2
bedrooms, each en-suite with a fully-fitted and equipped kitchen, lounge
and patio with views of the Chartwell valley. Ideal for a long stay or
for a family where you may need the extra space.
Douglasdale 3-bedroomed Executive Villa
Amber Rose is now also able to offer a 3-bedroom executive villa located off-property (10 minutes away) - perfect for longer stays such as for management team or corporate relocations.
All suites are inclusive of a hearty breakfast.
Conferences:
Perfect for smaller groups (20 delegates boardroom or 40 delegates cinema-style), this venue is ideal for management meetings, brain-storming sessions and strategy meetings and team-building excercises - far from the madding crowds. The peaceful country setting ensures privacy and tons of fresh air to get the creative juices flowing. Full or half day packages are available - or longer - whatever suits your needs. Staff will gladly help with menu planning and suggestions.

Spring (September) is the time to see the roses in all their magnificence. The peace and elegance can be enjoyed all year round!
What to pack:
Swim gear for summer and remember to pack some jodhpurs if riding is your passion. This is seriously horsey turf.

It's close to Broadacres and the happening hub of Fourways - so there's heaps of entertainment on your doorstep. For theatre-lovers, there's the informal Barnyard Theatre at Broadacres Centre and Pieter Toerien & il Teatro at nearby Montecasino. The Coca-Cola dome is also just 10 mins away. For shopaholics, there's easy access to Fourways, Clearwater, Northgate and Sandton. Within a short drive are the Lion Park, Lion Rhino Park, Ngwena Glass centre, Maropeng (Cradle of Humankind) and Hartebeespoort Dam.
