Originally named Bahia Formosa - or 'the beautiful bay' by early Portuguese explorers, Plett is a holiday mecca with year-round superb weather.  It's also become very popular over the last few years as a prime polo venue.  It also has a double-helping of things to do & see, whatever the season - like the 10-day Whiskey, Whales & All That Jazz festival late September and the week-long Student Rage end Novembr.
