Northern BergIncl. Amphitheatre, Bergville, Royal Natal National Park Probably the best known area of the 'Berg - with its Royal Natal National Park (so named after the 1947 visit of Britain's King George VI and Queen Elizabeth II). Its scenery is dramatic and spectacular - and features the most photographed and painted "Amphitheatre" - a massive cresent-shaped cliff which stretches 4 km from the "Sentinel" (3 165m) to the "Eastern Buttress" (3 047m). One of the larger domes on its almost flat summit was named "Mont-aux-Sources" by French missionaries in the 19th Century - as it is the source of several rivers. L: The impressive Amphitheatre formation towers above a chalet. Bergville serves as the capital of the region and dates back to 1897. Top 10 Attractions:For more info, visit Zulu Kingdom Settings
