The magical Sunshine Coast - which stretches 500 km along the warm Indian Ocean from the sub-tropical forests of the Tsitsikamma National Park in the south west to East London in the north east - is alive with attractions, activities, luxury destinations and malaria-free game reserves.

The Tsitsikamma is an adrenalin-junkie's haven - with abseiling, forest canopy tours, ziplining over waterfalls, nature trails, hikes, tubing, kloofing, nature trails and the world's highest bungee jump.

Other Sunshine Coast attractions include Jeffreys Bay (J-Bay) with its famed 'supertubes' and big brand surf-gear factory shops, St Francis Bay, the Addo Elephant Park and other private reserves, the Sundays River Valley, and the great Fish River, Bathurst, Kenton-on-Sea, Kleinemonde, Oyster Bay, Port Alfred and St Francis Bay.

From first-class, first world luxury to humble villages with unspoilt beaches, the Sunshine Coast has it all.  It's got a temperate climate and warm seas so it's a good place to visit all through the year.  Winters can be cool and a bit wet.

The main gateways to the Sunshine Coast are Port Elizabeth and East London - both of which have airports and are on the main N2 east/west route from Cape Town to Durban.
