Kgalagadi RegionAn area of sweeping grasslands and vast open plains. It's home to the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, the second biggest game reserve in the world (bigger than Switzerland), where you'll also find Deception Valley, an ancient, dried-up riverbed that sprawls across 80 km of the northern section of the park. It's also where you'll find Africa's first formally-declared trans-border conservation area - the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park on the border with South Africa - an area of haunting beauty, known for its red dunes, black-maned lions, herds of skittish springbok and stately gemsbok (oryx). And on the Botswana side of the Kgalagadi Park you'll find the pristine area of Mabusasehube - which means 'red earth' in a local dialect. This is one of the most rustic and ruggedly wild parks left in Botswana - still unspoilt and relatively undiscovered. There are clean ablutions with clear running water. If you stay at least 2 nights in the camp, you can use this area as a through-road to Namibia at the Union's End border post. The area is teeming with game - brown hyena, lion and wild dogs and the larger buck like eland and gemsbok. INSERT MAP Top 10 Attractions:
