Chobe Region

Lush bushveld, teeming with game (notably large herds of elephant).  Kasane was once a tiny, insignificant village but it has become a bustling centre as it lies in the centre of popular tourist routes - and it is the meeting point of four countries - Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Namibia.  The Chobe River is the perfect setting for sunset river cruises ... where you can sip a bitterly cold gin & tonic and watch game up close and personal as they come to drink - especially in the dry season (May to August).  Savuti Camp is famous for its large populations of lion & spotted hyenas (often hyenas maraude through the camps at night!)
